Jolyne Knockwood Jolyne graduated with her ECE in 2007 and worked as a Head Start Coordinator for 15 years before becoming the Early Years Coordinator at First Nation Educations Initiative (FNEI). The FNEI works with 12 First Nations Communities Early Years programs. Jolyne also works in her community as the Maternal Child Health worker to provide services to families and children and has been a Research Assistant with the Handle with Care Program since 2016.
Brian Kelly Brian Kelly is a longtime resident of Woodstock, New Brunswick. Most of his career has focussed on inclusion and diversity within the education system. His earliest work was helping to close children institutions in Newfoundland and Labrador. Over the years he has worked with Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Canadian Association for Community Living (CACL), G. Allan Roeher Institute and the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) to make our schools more inviting and responsive for all students. Recently he has taken a position as Student Services Coordinator for First Nations Education Initiative Incorporated (FNEII). Previously to that, Brian was the Director of Students Services for NB Department of E ducation and Early Childhood Development (EECD) for 10 years. Presently, he sits on several Assembly of First Nation (AFN) committees looking to reform education program and services for FN communities in Canada. Over the years Brian as a volunteer has been the chairman of a number of local community services such as Early Intervention and Community Residential Living Boards.
